General Questions
Where do we meet?
Meetings take place in your family's home. Alternate arrangements, such as meeting at a local library, are also possible.
How long and how frequent are meetings?
It's up to you! Depending upon your preferences, test prep meetings can run 90 minutes or longer, and other meetings can run 60 minutes or longer. Meetings can take place multiple times per week or on as as-needed basis. Your schedule is completely up to you.
When can we meet?
Although schedules vary from tutor to tutor, it's often possible to meet daytime, evening, or weekends.
What are your tutors' qualifications?
Though they come from varied backgrounds, the tutors share extensive teaching and tutoring experience, remarkable academic credentials, and a passion for working with students. Please check out their bios.
How do I get started?
To sign up, submit the form at www.PrepPoint.com/clientinfo.cgi. From there, we will confirm whether a great match is available for your student and, if so, have the tutor contact you to start setting up your sessions.

How soon can I start?
Once we receive your new client questionnaire, we generally match you with a tutor within a few business days, pending availability. Your tutor will contact you shortly thereafter. In a rush situation, we will do our very best to accelerate this process for you.
What geographic areas do you serve?
Our home service region includes most of the Bay Area. For families outside our home service region, we can frequently arrange for a tutor to travel to you at a slightly higher cost. Please contact us or call us toll-free at 1-866-PrepPoint (1-866-773-7764) with any questions.
Financial Questions
What kind of commitment is required?
None. All our services are available on an hourly, as-needed basis, with no commitments or startup costs of any kind required. And even if you do decide to purchase a package, you can refund the unused portion at any time.
How do I pay?
You may pay your monthly invoices by check or by credit card using PayPal online.
Are scholarships available?

What if I decide to cancel after buying an SAT prep package?
No problem. We'll identify the largest, most economical package you've completed to date and refund the difference. For instance, let's say you selected a 12-session test prep package but only completed 9 sessions. Upon requesting a refund, your 9 sessions will be prorated based on the 8-session package rate (i.e., a full 8-session package plus 1/8th of an 8-session package) and you will be refunded the difference. If you do not complete a package, then your refund will be calculated based on the a la carte rate.
What if I want to extend my SAT prep package to add more sessions?
No problem. Your extended sessions will be billed at the discounted rate of the package that you purchased. For instance, if you purchased an 8 session package and decide to add 2 more sessions, you will be billed an extra 2/8ths of an 8-session package.
Special Arrangements
What if I want to change tutors?
No problem! If you would like to change tutors for any reason, simply let us know and we'll be glad to discuss your alternatives.
Are group sessions available?
Yes, small group sessions are available. Rates are 33% off for each additional group member (test prep) to 50% off for each additional group member (tutoring). If you would like to arrange for a larger group event, please contact us to discuss.
Can I work with a tutor outside my area?
We always do our best to accommodate any special requests. You're welcome to work with any tutor whose area you're willing to drive to. In certain cases, a tutor may also be willing to visit you outside his or her local area for an additional fee.
